After reading Jedi_Sena’s article on her food trial of Burning Bush I wanted to try it out with my crabs as I planted 5 of these shrubs in the spring. Last weekend I pulled off 5 red leaves and tossed them in the crabitat. A day or two later when I checked on them, there was no trace of the leaves, they were devoured completely! I don’t have many leaves left on my bushes but I am going to harvest what remains to feed over the winter.
Thursday I boiled the turkey neck from our Thanksgiving turkey and gave it to the crabbies. They were VERY thankful for it and really did a number on it over night.
The Crab Street Journal has been moved to it’s new host and is back online save the photo gallery. We are still trying to come up with a solution for that.
Just found your blog, cool. Turkey for the crabbies yum. I worry about mine, I don’t see them very much.
