My sweet baby Loki (in my avatar) died sometime in the night. I’m so sad. She was my favorite. I have no idea what’s going on in my tank. Nothing has been changed to affect these deaths. Loki had one molt with me but for the last several months she has been very inactive. She rarely moved and never came out of her shell anymore. I haven’t seen her eating or drinking in I don’t know how long. She used to gobble down carrots and crackers. *sigh* maybe she’s been sick a while. I’m going to miss her so much.:crybaby::cry:

I am sorry for your loss 🙁 I know what it is like to lose a pet when you don’t know why. I was bought a baby boa a few years ago who didn’t want to eat – did everything I could but it just wouldn’t eat and it died with a month or two. 🙁
I swore off unusual animals after that but a friend decided that I shouldn’t take it to heart and bought me a corn snake – beautiful, orange – who is a greedy pig and would eat all the time if I let him….. his name is Arwwn [arown] and he is 4 years old and huge now! 🙂
I read some of your other posts and am fascinated – I didn’t know you could keep hermit crabs…. consider yourself blogrolled! 😀

Hermit crabs are my first ‘exotic’ pets but I just adore them. They can be kept as pets and have a very, very long life span if kept properly. I jumped over to check out your blog too 😉 I’ll add you to my blogroll as well. Thanks for stopping by 😉
