To experienced crabbers it will come as no surprise to hear that bottled water for your hermit crabs is a waste of money.
Hermit crabber Lisa of the Hermies Yahoo Group decided to do a little test on the saltwater version of Hydrate and reports that this stuff doesn’t even register on the hygrometer. It also doesn’t state if it is made with fresh water salt or ocean salt and there is a difference.
So as usual you are better off making your own ocean water so that you KNOW what you are giving your hermit crabs.
